Salon Series

Where Bermuda Becomes the Concert Hall

What is BCMF Salon Series?

The BCMF Salon Series brings people together through shared live music experiences in Bermuda’s most inspiring spaces.

Presented in homes, clubs, boardrooms, galleries, hotels, and historic properties, each salon offers businesses a distinctive way to host clients, engage teams, and create a memorable atmosphere around a live performance. Private hosts enjoy an elegant gathering that feels both relaxed and meaningful.

We manage the entire experience. BCMF curates the program, coordinates performers, provides invitation and promotional materials, manages RSVPs, and presents a polished performance tailored to your audience and setting.

Beyond a single evening, the Salon Series introduces new listeners to chamber music and builds lasting connections among guests. By opening your space, you help grow audiences and support the Bermuda Chamber Music Festival, a program of the Bermuda School of Music.

Curated Concert Programs

  • Dialogues

This program features a selection of Romantic works for cello and piano by composers such as Brahms and Schumann. The music is expressive and richly lyrical, reflecting the direct emotional character of the era. These pieces create an inviting atmosphere well suited to intimate spaces and audiences seeking an accessible, welcoming musical experience.

Although the repertoire includes moments of brilliant energy, such as the finale of the Brahms sonata, the program as a whole remains balanced and thoughtfully shaped. It offers a natural mix of warmth, clarity, and momentum that connects easily with listeners.

Together, these works present a focused snapshot of Romantic chamber music, highlighting its depth, elegance, and enduring appeal.

  • Chopin’s World

Step inside the intimate musical world of Frédéric Chopin, a composer whose voice defined Romantic sensibility yet whose roots reached deeply into the classical traditions he inherited. This virtuosity program brings together some of his most loved music for piano, violin, and cello, paired with a trio by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the composers he admired most.

Together these selections trace the breadth of Chopin’s expressive universe and the classical ideals that shaped it, offering a clear view of the influences, friendships, and artistic currents that surrounded him.

“Chopin’s World” is a concentrated journey into the composers, sounds, and spirits that helped form one of music’s most beloved poetic voices.

  • Legacy of The Strings

This program explores the distinctive world of string chamber music through a wide range of styles and personalities, featuring works by Beethoven, fiddle virtuoso Mark O’Connor, Bermuda’s own Dan Turcan, and others. The music moves naturally between dramatic intensity and moments of clarity, warmth, and lightness, highlighting the color, resonance, and close interplay unique to a string ensemble.

Designed to be engaging and approachable for all listeners, the program offers variety and contrast throughout, inviting both new and experienced audiences into the richness of chamber music.

Because no piano is required, it is especially well suited to venues where space is limited. The result is a flexible and compelling performance that adapts easily to intimate settings while retaining depth and presence.
